Were you ever told to be honest with people and yourself, but then being told off for what you’re thinking or saying?
“They expect me to be honest but then they do not accept the truth”.
Nah. You were probably just an asshole.
There is a very vivid difference between being honest and speaking up your mind; you just need to learn the art of saying whatever you want in a way that nobody will get offended… how? I can help you with a few bits and pieces that are probably more relevant.
Let me start about the sex topic!
Maybe you are texting, getting to know each other, and a few questions popped up, you never really spoke in person, and you start asking her about oral sex.

(Obviously I’m not speaking about exceptions, cause there are in the world) Hell no! She will automatically think that that is your main goal! And even if it was, you do not need to shove it in her face!
Ask her out, pay for her coffee or her drink, speak about the weather, speak about something funny, and then gently raise the topic. How? Always think that the person sitting in front of you could be your sister, could be your daughter, could be your mother (not in a creepy way, jeez, just in the way you need to be respectful). Don’t be rude, gentle, delicate, honest, and especially understanding.
You never know what the person in front of you went through, you do not know their experiences, you both might have a different mindset and possibly different cultures, don’t rush.
And if the time is not right don’t push it, you will just look like a freak.
Don’t take it wrong though, it’s fine to not want a serious relationship, it’s fine to want something serious as well and it’s fine to not be sure what you want, as long as you’re honest about it, and you’re not lying, and you’re not going to push boundaries, it will work.
Especially your honesty will be more than appreciated because you’re not wasting anybody’s time.
