I just showed you the extreme no. There a softer things to avoid, the simple and plain questions “how are you?”, “what are you doing?”… like, ehm, living? And avoid stuff like giving advises (no one asked you!), like one guy tried to get my phone number by telling me how I should educate my dog, or telling me what to wear with this weather… stop that.
Take is easier, as if you were speaking to a friend, you saw something you think is interesting, or a song you liked, or a joke someone just said (no sexist, to racists, no religious please, wait for that) and just share, it will work, from that you can start a conversation on the topic!
